Will it run?

Draw comes from our catalog of 195 pedals, each with the current it actually pulls at 9V. Anything not listed you can type in, and a pedal with no figure on record is counted as unknown rather than as zero, so the total is reported as a floor instead of a false total.

Supply capacity is summed from each unit’s per-jack table, taken from 8 manufacturers’ own published specs. We do not use the headline “combined mA” figures: one of them counts an AC outlet that cannot power a DC pedal, and more than one simply does not add up.

Fit is checked per jack, biggest pedal first. That matters, because a board can sit inside its total budget and still be unwireable when the one 400mA pedal has no jack above 250mA to live on.

Which pedals want an isolated output is the one judgment call here, and it is a rule of thumb: the digital categories (delay, reverb, pitch, looper) plus anything drawing over 100mA. Treat it as a strong hint, not a measurement.
