Need a laugh after a long teaching week. What's a pedal you bought because the internet wouldn't shut up about it and then sold within a month? I'll start. The Chase Bliss Mood. I love what they do, I love the brand, I respect everything about how it was designed. I bought one, kept it for six weeks, sold it. The interface is beautifully thought through and completely incompatible with how I think about pedals on stage. I want to step on something and have it do a thing. The Mood wants me to think about it. I don't want to think about a pedal during a song. I want to think about a song during a song. Nobody's wrong about the Mood. It does what they say it does. I'm just not the player for it. Who else has one? The worst part of selling a Chase Bliss pedal is you lose maybe 20% of retail, the resale community is honest. The best part is somebody who actually loves it gets it for a fair price.

I have a Mood. I love it. I also play with a click and a setlist and I have time to set it during a song. It's not a stomp-it-on-and-go pedal. You're right about who it's for and who it isn't. Both of those people exist.

My worst purchase was the original Klon clone fad. I bought four boutique clones before I bought a KTR. The KTR has been on my board for six years. Three of the clones are in a drawer. I'm sure they're fine pedals. I just didn't need four of them.

Every digital fuzz I've ever tried. The DSP fuzz pedals all sound the same and they all sound like an idea of fuzz, not fuzz. I'm a transistor-or-die person. Worst purchase, a Strymon Riverside set to its fuzz model. Sold within a week. Strymon makes incredible time-based pedals and should not make fuzz.

Echoplex EP-3 preamp clones. I have tried four of them. They all do basically the same job and the job is 'a slight high-mid push'. You can get the same effect with a Klon at 8 o'clock and a touch of treble. Spent too much on too many. Lesson learned.

The Eventide H9. Brilliant unit. Bad interface. Same problem you had with the Mood. If I have to scroll through screens during a song, the pedal has failed me. Sold it after six months and replaced it with three single-purpose pedals.
