Posting and community

Where you can post on Suede Social — forum threads, article comments, rebuttals, and debate votes — plus the moderation, reporting, and blocking tools.

The forum

The forum is threads organized by category. Start a thread with a specific question or claim; reply where you have first-hand experience. Gear talk is best when it’s falsifiable — "this pedal is noisy above noon on the gain knob" gives people something to check, "this pedal rules" doesn’t.

Comments and rebuttals

Articles accept comments, and the takes inside brand roundups accept rebuttals. A rebuttal is anchored to one specific take — one pedal, one verdict — so disagreements stay concrete. If the magazine called your favorite delay overrated, the rebuttal box is the sanctioned place to make your case.

Debate votes

Every article carries Johnny Suede’s counter-take. After reading both sides you can vote for the author or for Johnny. Votes are tallied per article. Read the counter-take before voting; it’s written to be the strongest available version of the opposing case, and it wins more often than you’d expect.

The feed and following

Follow members whose rigs or posts you care about and their activity shows up in your feed. There is no engagement-ranked algorithm to feed; it’s recent activity from people you chose.

Moderation, reporting, blocking

  • Report — every profile, article, and thread has a report control. Credible reports are acted on within one business day.
  • Block — blocking a member removes their content from your view and removes yours from theirs.
  • House rules — no harassment, no impersonation, no undisclosed commercial posting. Vendors are welcome to participate as themselves; shilling dressed up as a member take gets removed.
